Velvet Jean Cozart Ring, 58, resident of Lewisburg, died on Monday, November 16, 2020 at her residence.
A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, November 19th at 2 PM at Lone Oak Cemetery with Brother Danny Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM until service time at the cemetery. Active pallbearers include Wendell Briggs, Kent Holt, Keith Holt, Nick Webb, Phil Rogers, Terry Martin.
Born on January 10, 1962 in Lewisburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Cozart and the late Betty Bennett Cozart. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, and arts & crafts. She was a member of Farmington Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Elmer D. “Buster” Ring of Lewisburg, daughters, Cathy (Keith) Holt of Culleoka, Misty (Jacob) Love of Columbia; son, Brandon Ring of Columbia; brother, Ricky (Margie) Cherry of Lewisburg; sisters, Jane Cherry Dawson of Fort Myers, FL, Twilla Cozart Miller of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Cayden Holt, Bob Holt, Bradley Love, Hailey Love, Madeline Carroll, Lily Ring, Sophie Ring, Avrie Ring, Ada Ring; beloved dog, Curly Moe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Jackie Mitchell, brother, Paul Cherry, and niece, Tabby Newby.
