Mr. Thomas Timmy "Slingshot" Simmons, age 43 of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
A native of Lincoln County, he was the son of Sue Ann Thomas Blankenship and the late Glenn Simmons. He was a self employed carpenter and a member of the New Life Community Church.
In addition to his Father, his paternal grandparents, Edgar and Susie Simmons and his maternal grandparents Leonard and Clara Thomas precede him in death.
Survivors include his mother, Sue Ann Charlie Blankenship of Lewisburg, one sister Glenda Sue Simmons Carnell of Florida, two nephews Brandon Woodall and Dillion Carnell, two aunts, Kathy Fralix of Lewisburg and Ordie Thomas of Cornersville, TN, one uncle Kirk Thomas of Cornersville, TN.
Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be conducted on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at 10: 00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with Terry Mills officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, August 6, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with funeral expenses.
