Theola Blue

Theola Davis Blue age 99 of Lewisburg, Tennessee passed away Saturday March 30, 2024, at her home in Lewisburg. She was born May 6, 1924, to Shula and Bessie McAdams Davis. Theola was raised in the Yell community and attended Cornersville School and graduated in 1942 from Marshall County High School. She worked many years at Heil Quaker Corporation before moving to Texas where she met her husband O.E. Hap Blue. They made their home in Livingston, Texas until 2001. After returning to Tennessee, they resided in the Cornersville until the death of her husband and brother-in-law, Milo Sutherland. Theola and her sister, Roslyn, then moved to Lewisburg, living together until her death in January. She was a member of Church Street Church of Christ.

Theola was preceded in death by her husband O.E. Hap Blue; parents, Shula and Bessie McAdams Davis; sister, Roslyn Davis Sutherland.

Theola is survived by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Blue of Texas; many cousins and friends; caregivers, Margo and Jordan.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Bills McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
