Sylvia Mae Smith Jackson, 90, a resident of 501 9th Avenue, North, in Lewisburg, died Friday, September 1, 2006, at Marshall Medical Center in Lewisburg, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mrs. Jackson will be conducted Sunday, September 3, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. at Lone Oak Cemetery with Tom Sumners officiating. The family will visit with friends, Sunday from 12:30 p.m. 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
Born in Giles County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Bessie Thompson Smith. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Jackson. She was a homemaker and a member of the church of Christ. Mrs. Jackson enjoyed sewing and collecting bird figurines.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen Holley of Pulaski; her sons, James Audrey Jackson of Lewisburg and Paul J. Betty Jackson of Lewisburg; granddaughters, Terri Tom Bailey of Lewisburg, Tina Holley of Pulaski, Tracy Whitehead of Pulaski; grandson, Jessie Paul Jackson of Lewisburg; step great grandson, Chris Richards of Lewisburg; 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Irene Jackson, and a sister, Clarene Christopher DeWitt.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
