Steven Anthony Hopwood, 51, self-employed contractor and resident of Lewisburg, died Monday, March 27, 2017, in Lewisburg.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Rev. James Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:00 8:00 P.M. and Friday from 12:00 2:00 P.M. at Bills-McGaugh. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are in charge of the arrangements.

The Marshall County native was the son of Maggie Lee Holt Hopwood of Lewisburg and the late Billy Wayne Hopwood. He was a 1984 graduate of Marshall County High School. Steve enjoyed living in the country and being outdoors, working with his horses. He also loved music, playing guitar, and singing. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Lewisburg.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Teresa McCord Hopwood; children, Tanner Hopwood, Maria Kate Hopwood, Haley Hopwood, Alanna Hopwood; brother, Mikael Holt Hopwood; sisters, Janice Hopwood (Glenn) Buckman and Vonda Spain; and numerous other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Tim Hurt, Jason Welch, Jessie Corbin, James Cozart, Toby Clay, Brandon Mason, Steve McMillin, Richard Holt, and Preston Perryman.
