Sterling Gordon

Sterling Lancaster Gordon, age 45 of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Fulton County, GA. He graduated from St. Pius High School in Fulton County, GA and attended Columbia State Community College in Columbia. He did construction and electrical work and was a member of Farmington Church of Christ.

Mr. Gordon was a native of Marshall County, the son of Joseph Tyree Gordon, Jr. and Marion Delle Carter Gordon of Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dr. Joseph Tyree Gordon, Sr., his paternal grandmother, Pat Gordon, his maternal grandmother, Melba Musgrave, and a brother, Joseph Tyree Gordon, III.

In addition to his parents, survivors include two sons, Sterling Chase and Joseph Brice Gordon of Maryland, and one sister, Candace (Daniel) Sumrall of Birmingham, AL.

Funeral services for Mr. Gordon will be Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Leslie Shadwick officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation will be held at Friday, April 17, 2015 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home.
