Mrs. Sara Elizabeth White, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday morning at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Luther L. & Lola Mae Sanders Smith and a member of the Berlin Methodist Church. Sara joined the staff of WJJM Radio in the early 60s, and was the Station Manager for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband: Elvin White of Lewisburg; a son: Ross White of Nashville; one brother: Lyndal Luther Smith of Lewisburg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM, and again on Friday until the funeral hour.
