Miss Ruby Dean Winsett, age 57, died Wednesday evening at her home in Shelbyville, following an extended illness.
She was born in Fayetteville, and was affiliated with the Baptist Church. Ruby Dean led a simple life, enjoying car rides, music, the people around her, and the fall of the year.
She is survived by her parents: Darwin and Ruby King Winsett of Shelbyville; 4 sisters: Patsy Polselli of Bradenton, FL, Brenda Davis of Lewisburg, Wanda Bolden of Atlanta, GA, and Mary Jane Nieburg of Port Charlotte, FL; a brother: Larry Winsett of Port Charlotte, FL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Winsett.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Hospice of the Highland Rim.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral on Saturday from 9:00 11:00 AM for visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Graveside and interment services will be conducted at 2:00 PM in the Roselawn Cemetery in Athens, AL. Pallbearers will be Brent Davis, Matthew Winsett, Marc Winsett, Ben Winsett, Patrick Davis, and Keith Shultz.
Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Miss Winsett.
