Mr. Robert Loyd, age 89 of Lewisburg, passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at NHC Lewisburg.
He was the son of the late William Loyd and Rhoda Hastings.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Loyd 2002 and a daughter, Mary Jane Loyd 1963.Survivors include his wife; Billye Bryant McConnelle of Lewisburg, One nephew, Billy Boy Lloyd of Murfreesboro and One great nephew, Michael Lloyd also of Murfreesboro.
Mr. Loyd owned and operated Loyds Flower Shop for many years and was a former mayor of Lewisburg. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Veteran of the Army Air Force.
Funeral services for Mr. Loyd will be conducted on Tuesday, December 18 ,2007 at 10:00 am from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with Reverend Claude McMillion and Amos Wilson officiating.
Burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors.
The family will visit with friends on Monday, December 17, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Honorary Pallbearers are Marty Gencsi, Phil Sanders, Bill Marsh, Eddie Wiles, Glen Hardison, Mike Spence, Billy Boy Lloyd and Michael Lloyd.
