Robert Charles ' 'Bob Davis

Mr. Robert Charles Bob Davis, age 81 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday afternoon in NHC-Lewisburg.

A native of Portland, Oregon, Mr. Davis was the son of the late Robert L. and Nada Lavell Sevain Davis. With his first wife, Verline Rasmussen Davis, they bought and managed the Malt Shop on the Lewisburg Town Square. He was the former Fire Inspector for the City of Lewisburg, and had been self-employed doing survey and appraisal work. He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy, and had membership in the Dillahunty Masonic Lodge 112 in Lewisburg. He was a member of the Franklin York Rite, consisting of the bodies: Franklin Chapter 2, Franklin Council 134, and the Depayens Commandry 11. Mr. Davis was also a member of the Lewisburg Eastern Star 318.

He is survived by his wife: Carole Westcott Davis of Lewisburg; a son: Robert Harry Bob Davis of Lewisburg; daughter: Patricia Jo Pat Davis of Bell Buckle; Michelle Hudson of Lewisburg, and Michael Waterson of Readyville, TN. 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Leonard Davis, and sister: Vivian Kostrba.

The family will gather with friends on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home for visitation. Memorial services will follow at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
