Robert C. ' 'Bobby Tallman
July 28, 1944 — February 18, 2006
Bobby Tallman, age 61 of the Spring Place Community, died Saturday in Marshall Medical Center.
A native of Lincoln Co., he was the son of Mrs. Emma Scott Tallman of Cornersville and the late Herman W. Tallman, and was preceded in death by his wife: Rita Gayle Sowell Tallman in Dec. 2004; a daughter: Melissa Tallman in 1998; and a son: Robert Carl Tallman, II in 1969. Bobby was an electrician and served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member and Elder of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church in the Spring Place Community.
In addition to his mother: Mrs. Emma Scott Tallman of Cornersville, Bobby is survived by his son: Michael Tallman of the Spring Place Community; a brother: Bill Tallman of Cornersville; and a sister: Brenda Vaughn of Lincoln Co.
The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 5:00 8:00 PM Tuesday for visitation, and Wednesday until the funeral hour.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. David Wall. Burial will follow in Short Cemetery, in the Spring Place Community.
Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in Bobby's memory.
