PAUL LEHMAN CARNELL

MR. PAUL LEHMAN CARNELL OF CULLEOKA, TN PASSED AWAY ON SUNDAY, DECEMBER 27, 2009 AT HIS RESIDENCE. A NATIVE OF NEWBERN, TN, MR. CARNELL WAS THE SON OF THE LATE ROBERT CARNELL AND LORA MAE CARNELL. TWO DAUGHTERS ROSE MARIE CARNELL, JOYCE ELAINE LUSCO, ONE BROTHER J. R. CARNELL, ONE SISTER LURLINE LEWELLEN AND ONE GRAND DAUGHTER JESSICA GOOD, AND A SPECIAL GRANDSON BRANDON MOCKABEE ALSO PRECEDED HIM IN DEATH.

MR. CARNELL WAS A WELDER AND ELECTRICIAN AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE METHODIST CHURCH. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS LOCAL 697 OF HAMMOND, INDIANA. MR. CARNELL WAS RAISED ON A FARM DURING THE DEPRESSION ERA. AS A RESULT HE BECAME AN INVENTOR BY NECESSITY. HE ENJOYED NATURE AND HE DESIGNED AND MADE CAMPING AND BOATING EQUIPMENT. IN THE EARLY 1950'S, HE DESIGNED AND LATER BUILT THE FIRST TELESCOPING TRAVEL TRAILER HE NAMED THE TOW LOW. PAUL WAS A GREAT FATHER, LOYAL SON, AND DEPENDABLE FRIEND. HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE OF 68 YEARS LADY RUTH PARK CARNELL, TWO SONS PAUL LYNDELL CARNELL OF CHAPEL HILL, TN, RONALD DALE CARNELL OF WANATAH, INDIANA, THREE DAUGHTERS SHIRLEY DARLENE CARNELL OF MT. STERLING, KY, DEBORAH ANNETTE EVANS AND JEANNE DIANE GOOD, BOTH OF CULLEOKA, TN.
TWO BROTHERS EDWIN AND LUTHER CARNELL ALSO SURVIVE OF NEWBERN, TN ALONG WITH SEVENTEEN GRANDCHILDREN, THIRTY-EIGHT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND FIVE GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR MR. CARNELL WILL BE ON WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 30, 2009 AT BILLS-MCGAUGH FUNERAL HOME AT 1 P. M. AT THE FUNERAL HOME WITH BURIAL AT FRIENDSHIP CEMETERY AT CULLEOKA. THE VISITATION WITH THE FAMILY WILL BE TUESDAY, DECEMBER 29, 2009 FROM 4 P.M. TO 8 P.M. AND AFTER 12 NOON ON WEDNESDAY. BROTHER'S BOB RUSH AND AUBREY KNOIS WILL OFFICIATE.

BILLS-MCGAUGH FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
