Oscar Sharp

November 26, 1926 — January 27, 2006

Mr. Oscar Lee Sharp, age 79 of Shelbyville, died Friday afternoon at his residence.

A native of Marshall County, he was the son of the late Albert Lee and Ethel May Culver Sharp. He served his country during World War II.

Mr. Sharp is survived by a brother: Albert Lee Sharp, Jr. of Arkansas; a sister: Brooksie Pugh of Unionville; a brother: Billy Wayne Sharp of Illinois; and a sister: Ann Metcalfe of the Milltown Community. 9 children: Patricia Kay Allen of Lewisburg, Ronnie Sharp of Chapel Hill, Albert Webb Sharp of Unionville, Terry Sharp of Shelbyville, Carolyn Camacho of Unionville, Shirley Cook of Shelbyville, Nancy Baker of Unionville, Mary Childers and Steve Sharp both of Shelbyville; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren also survive.

The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 8:00 PM for visitation.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery.

Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mr. Sharp.
