Mrs. Mildred Burnett, age 92 passed away Sunday evening, April 5, 2009 at NHC-Lewisburg, TN following a long illness.
She was known throughout Marshall and surrounding counties as 'the turnip green lady'.
She was the widow of Emerson Burnett who died in 1994.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Strong of Fayetteville, TN and Marie Carter of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving are three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mrs. Burnett will be from 3 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, April 6, 2009 at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 2 P. M. from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with interment in Sunset Park Cemetery.
