Mary Janice Farmer, 82, resident of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Born on November 13, 1938 in Alderson, WV, she was the daughter of the late Walter Baker and Bertha Launa Dorman Baker. She enjoyed oil painting, arts and crafts. She also enjoyed playing the piano and singing. She loved her family most of all.
Survivors include her sons, Doug (Ronda) Farmer of Lewisburg, and Danny ( Linda) Farmer of Mooresville Community; brothers, John Baker, Joe Baker, Walter Owen “Bones” Baker all of West Virginia; sister, Brenda Flanagan of West Virginia; grandchildren, Nathan Farmer and Amber Farmer; and great-grandchildren, Cohen Farmer and Truth Farmer.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Ernest Farmer; and brothers Kenny Baker, Lee Baker, and Jim Baker.
Family will be conducting a memorial service at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Saturday, September 11th at 4:30 PM. They will visit with friends on Saturday from 3:00 until service time at the church. Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of cremation arrangements.
