Mary Eaves

Eaves, Mary Carolyn Mayes, 90, passed away on November 15, 2010 . She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Howard Eaves, Sr., her parents, Joseph C. Mayes and Ruth Clayton Mayes, and brother, William C. Mayes. She is survived by her two children, Raymond H. Eaves, Jr. Laine and Janice Eaves Sowell Tom; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Jane Batey Ben, her brother, Joe Mayes Ruth, sister-in-law Sue Eaves along with many loving nieces and nephews. She was born in Farmington, Tn and lived the majority of her life in Lewisburg, Tn retiring to Nashville, Tn in 1995. In Lewisburg she worked as a teacher's aide and later worked in the Marshall County library. Carolyn will always be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who placed God and family above all else. Her devotion to her family was selfless and absolute. Funeral Services for Mrs. Eaves will be conducted Thursday at 2PM from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Thursday beginning at 12 Noon until the funeral hour. Active pallbearers will be her six grandsons: Michael Eaves, Bryan Eaves, Chris Eaves, Steven Sowell, David Sowell and Andre' Thebert.
