Martha Wright

July 10, 1933 — April 24, 2013

Martha Elizabeth Shelton Wright, age 79, of Lewisburg passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, in NHC Healthcare Oakwood in Lewisburg. A native of Lincoln County, Tennessee, Mrs. Wright was the daughter of the late Robert Washington Shelton and Kathleen Susan Adcox Shelton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Farmington Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm Sidney Wright Sr., who passed away in 2012, three brothers, Ray Shelton, Jimmy Shelton, and Cecil Shelton and two sisters, Jean Shelton Adams and Dorothy Shelton Mills.

She is survived by two sons, Mark (Debbie) Wright and Mack Wright, both of Lewisburg, two brothers, Robert Lee Shelton and Lonnie Shelton, two sisters, Sue Darnell and Connie Wright, three grandsons, Jason, Justin, and Jacob Wright, and two granddaughters, Julie Wright and Kendra Helton. Four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also survives, along with several nieces and nephews. She was also looking forward to the arrival of another great-grandchild.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 12:00 PM from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with Tom Sumners officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation with family will be Friday, April 26, 2013, from 4 PM to 8 PM and also Saturday at 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
