Mrs. Martha Whaley Aldridge, age 91 of Lewisburg, passed away early Friday morning, January 25, at NHC Oakwood.
Mrs. Aldridge was a native of Cullman ,Alabama, daughter of the late Clarence Gus Whaley and Sara Annie Standridge. Mrs Aldridge was preceded in death her husband George P. Aldridge and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are two daughters Kay Seth Watson of Jacksonville, FL, Shirley Mack Jordan of Lewisburg, three sons Jackie Norma Aldridge, Wayne Jane Aldridge, and Ronald Nancy Aldridge, all of Lewisburg. Nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive.
She was a retired nurses technician from Leonards Hospital in Lewisburg, a homemaker, and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking and gardening.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Lone Oak Cemetery with Reverend Darrell Whaley officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday January 26, 2008 at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home until the service time.
Active Pallbearers will be Troy Aldridge, Patrick Jordan, Allen Jordan, Derrick Watson, Todd Watson, Andy Aldridge, Jason Donahue, and Kevin McGehee.
