Mrs. Marie Lovett Haislip, 96, a resident of Nashville, died peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at St. Thomas West, surrounded by family.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Haislip will be conducted on Friday, December 16, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM and again on Friday from 1:00 PM until service time at the Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home.
Born on February 18, 1926, in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late James Lovett and the late Maude Peay Lovett. Marie was a retired employee of South Central Bell. She was very vibrant and was always on the go. For several years, she enjoyed traveling to LaBelle, Florida, and she and her husband Kenneth would spend three months a year there. Above all, she loved God, her family, and her country. Mrs. Haislip was a devoted member of Bellview Church of Christ for over 50 years, and worshipped at Central Church of Christ in LaBelle, Florida.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 72 years, Kenneth Haislip; sons, Randall (Susan) Haislip, Delvin Haislip, Kenneth (Laura) Haislip; grandchildren, Shade Haislip, Eli Haislip; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn (Grady) Hill, Lorene (Mac) Braden, and brothers, J.T (Gloria) Lovett, Doris (Jean) Lovett, and Norris Lovett
