Lawrence ' 'Larry Harmon

January 12, 1947 — November 11, 2003

Lawrence Edward Larry Harmon, age 56 of Lewisburg, died Tuesday morning in Marshall Medical Center.

Larry was a native of Parkersburg, WV, and son of the late Opie and Monetta Williams Harmon. He drove a truck for TN Freight Haulers and was a member of the Richland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Larry loved the outdoors. He enjoyed it from the back of his Harley, the end of a fishing pole, or in his campsite. But most of all, he enjoyed being with his family. Larry served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Marines.

He is survived by his children: Justin Ria Harmon of Petersburg, Candy Jo Harmon and Bryan Scott Harmon, both of Lewisburg; wife: Donna Hager Harmon of Lewisburg; sisters: Sharon Jim Shouse of King, NC and Sharon Nafe of Lewisburg; brothers: Douglas JoAnn VanOrden of NY and William Sabrina VanOrden of Lewisburg.

A celebration of Larrys life will be conducted Saturday at 5:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends from 3:00 PM until the service time on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.

Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Larry.
