John David Lucas, 77, resident of Lewisburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Elk River Health & Rehabilitation, after a short illness.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 15th at 1 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Father Reggie officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Air Force. The family will visit with friends on Monday, December 14th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11 AM until service time at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton. The family requests everyone follow CDC guideline on social distancing and facial covering is required.
Born on December 18, 1942 in Hamtramck, Michigan, he was the son of the late John Lucas and the late Wanda Rafalik Lucas. He served in the United States Air Force, and a proud member of the V.F.W. John enjoyed gardening, traveling, and throwing horseshoes. He was an avid car enthusiast, and knew a lot about old cars. Mr. Lucas was a member of St. John Catholic Church.
Survivors include his son, John (Jodi) Lucas; daughter, Tammy Voynar; grandchildren, Hope Voynar and Nickalas Lucas.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Lucas, and sister, Diane.
