Joe Edward Fleming, age 74 of Lewisburg, TN, passed away Monday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was preceded in death by his parents: H. W. and Callie Irvin Fleming; a sister: Edith Wharton; and a brother: William 'Bill' Fleming.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 54 years: Joan Cyree Fleming; daughter: Shelia Henry Stacy; two sons: Fred Lori Fleming and Joey Hope Fleming; a sister: Mildred Claude Lang; sisters-in-law: Faye Fleming, Freddie James Stewart, Carolyn Wilson Legg, Glenice Bill Lane, and Judy Charles Stanley; brother-in-law: Ray Judy Cyree. He is survived by eight grandchildren: Melody Barker, Adria Lewis Moore, Brian Fleming, Ashley Alisha Fleming, Ryan Fleming, Misty Keith Howell, Timothy Fleming, and Matthew Fleming; and five great-grandchildren: Levi and Jordan Moore, Makenzie, Makayla, and Bryant Fleming, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Joe was born in Huntsville, AL on June 21, 1931. and lived there during his childhood, prior to moving to Marshall County, TN. He attended the former Joe Bradley High School, and has been a resident of Lewisburg since 2002. After serving his country in the United States Army, he was a minister in the Churches of Christ, until retirement. He was currently a member of the Hickory Heights Church of Christ in Lewisburg. Joe's favorite past time was racing stock cars and watching his grandchildren play sports.

The family will receive friends at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4:00 8:00 PM for visitation.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, with Bobby Graham Athens, AL officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
