Jimmy Wayne Nix

Mr. Jimmy Wayne Nix, 71, retired employee of Nissan and resident of Lewisburg, died on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services for Mr. Nix will be conducted on Monday, January 6th at 2:00 PM at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Judd and Sonny Willis officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the US Army. The family will visit with friends on Sunday, January 5th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and again Monday from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.

A Lewisburg native, Jimmy was born on August 26, 1948 to the late Joe Marshall Nix and the late Christine Colbert Nix. Jimmy was a devoted husband, father and provider, who was loved by many. He loved the Lord, his beloved wife, Patsy, his precious grandchildren, and his family. He was definitely a cut-up and jokester, always picking with someone. Jimmy enjoyed repairing lawn mowers, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He served in the US Army from 1968 - 1969, and received a Purple Heart for his service. Mr. Nix was a devoted member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, and loved his church family very much. His favorite saying was “Every day is a good day’.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy Lawrence Nix of Lewisburg; daughter, April Lynn Nix Brewington (Bryan) of Rock Hill, South Carolina; grandchildren, Austin Brewington, Karli Brewington, Logan Brewington all of Rock Hill, South Carolina; brother, Jody Nix (Gladys Fay) of Cornersville; sister, Faye Lentz of Lewisburg; Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law, Betty (JR) Watkins of Lewisburg, and special friends, Seth Buddy Warf and Larry Frazier.
