Biography
Jimmie Chester Lemay, age 79, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Born in Giles County, he was the son of the late Elizabeth Holder and Jessie Lemay. He was retired from the former Butler Brothers Furniture and Hardware store as an appliance technician with 45 years of service. He was also a member of the Church Street Church of Christ.
His parents and a brother Vander Lemay precede Mr. Lemay in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay (Bob) Barnes of Lewisburg, three sons, Terry (Lisa White) Lemay, Chris (Kathleen) Lemay and Jeff Lemay all of Lewisburg. One special friend of 25 years, Carol Moore of Columbia, two sisters, Catherine (Dick) Lindsey of Mount Pleasant and Margie (Howard) Fault of Columbia and grandchild, Ashley Lemay of Cornersville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. Lemay will be conducted on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 3 :00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. James Watkins will be officiating.
Visitation with the family will begin on Thursday, September 13, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the funeral hour on Friday.
