Mr. James Ray Prince, age 41, of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2009.
A native of Oak Park, Illinois, he was the son of the late James L.V. Prince and Betty Jean Smith Prince. He was the CEO of Sweet Tea Records and STR Music Group, coached Babe Ruth Baseball in Columbia for many years and was a member of the Episcopal Church.
Mr. Prince is preceded in death by his father James L. V. Prince Big Jim in 2006 and a son, Jorgen Prince 1994.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Prince, two daughters, Alyssa Prince of Illinois and Ashbey Prince, two sons, Ethan and Brendan Prince of Lewisburg and one brother, Jerry Prince of Lewisburg, one sister, Susie Eddie Dale of Lewisburg, two nephews, Judd Bullock and Justin Dale, two nieces, Lacey Prince and Shelly "Bella" Ross. A special cousin thought of as a son, Erik Prince Marquez. Several aunts and uncles also survive.
A memorial service will be held in Mr. Prince's memory on Sunday, March 1, 2009 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, March 1, 2009 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
