James Hood

James Franklin Hood, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Mr. Hood was the son of the late, David Shipman Hood, Sr. and Mary Frances Hutchins Hood Strickland. Also preceded in death were two brothers, David Shipman Hood, Jr. and Johnny Lee Hood; two sisters, Patricia Hood and Mary Kay Indinger; and his step-father, David Cecil Strickland. He retired from Kimrock Chemical Company and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by one son, Robert Hood; one brother, Thomas Ray (Joyce) Hood of Dayton, TN; two sisters, Linda Torries and Rose Gill, both of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

There will be a private memorial service for Mr. Hood at a later date.
