James Greathouse

July 21, 1918 — March 31, 2004

Mr. James Everett Greathouse, age 85 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday morning at his residence.

Mr. Greathouse was a native of Conway, Arkansas, son of the late James Albert and Bessie Thurman Greathouse, retired from Whirlpool, and a veteran of World War II, where he fought in the Battle of the Buldge, and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Anna Thurman Greathouse in 1999.

He is survived by one sister: Reba Perryman of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, and locally by a nephew: Ronald Thurman of Lewisburg.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 3:00 until 7:00 PM and again on Friday until the service hour at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home.
