Harold G. McKenzie, 83, longtime resident of Lewisburg, died peacefully on June 14, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A Graveside Service will be conducted on Sunday, June 16 at 2:00 P.M. with entombment to follow at the Sunset Park Mausoleum.
Born on January 20, 1936 in Kenton, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Chester Earl McKenzie and the late Fallie Mae Wagner McKenzie. Harold served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a brick mason for many years. Mr. McKenzie later went back to college and graduated with a Doctorate degree in Law. He served many years as an attorney before retiring in 1986. After retiring Harold and his wife, Patsy, traveled across the United States for six months of each year. He was an avid golfer, spending many hours on the golf course. When not golfing, he enjoyed gardening. Mr. McKenzie was a member of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Patsy McKenzie; daughters, Retta Marvin, Vanessa (Gary) Allen, Jo (Bobby) Bell; grandchildren, Beth (Dwayne) Davis, BJ Bell, Bradley Bell, Amanda Allen; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Mark.
