Mr. Gilbert Riley Wilburn, 79, a resident of 2490 Monte Murrey Road in Lewisburg, died Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Marshall Medical Center.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilburn will be conducted Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Gills Chapel Cemetery. The family will visit with friends, Saturday, 2:00 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Reverend Bill Mathis officiating.
Born in Giles County, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Jasper and Willie Mae Woodard Wilburn. He was a stone mason and a member of Franklin Avenue Christian Center.
He is survived by his daughter, Edie Don Hendrix of Lewisburg; sons, Tony April Wilburn of Lewisburg, and Clifton Lisa Wilburn of Lewisburg; sisters, Lorene Gipson, Ivanell Tate, and Martha Yokum, all of Lewisburg; brothers, J. E. Wilburn of Lewisburg, and Ed Wilburn of Cornersville; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Steven Smith, Clyde Williams, Harold Smith, James Mathis, Steven Wilburn, Frank Luna, Guy Chambers, Jr., Danny Chambers. Honorary pallbearers will be J. E. Wilburn and Robert Ed Wilburn.
