Gerolene Edmondson Gatlin, 95, longtime resident of Lewisburg, died on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at NHC Lewisburg.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, November 13th at 2 PM at Short Cemetery with Floyd Richardson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Born on July 21, 1925 in the Delina community, she was the daughter of the late Laymon B. Edmondson and the late Mary Pigg Edmondson. Gerolene was a 35 year employee of Genesco, and retired after 11 years at Teledyne. She was a charter member of LifeSong Family Church, formerly Ellington Parkway Church of God. She will be remembered for her love and devotion to her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Betty (Jim) Bryan of Lewisburg, Alice (Robert) Crowell of Houston, TX; son Grady (Connie) Gatlin of Lewisburg, sister Mary Elizabeth (J.D.) Mealer of Lewisburg, brother Bobby (Betty) Edmondson of Thompson Station, grandchildren; Denise Hopper, Paul Gatlin, Angie Zandman, Bobby Crowell, Philip Crowell, Vicky Withrow, great-grandchildren; Cody Liggett, Tyler Newcomb, Alexandria Shoffner, Addie Crowell, Lake Gatlin, Briar Gatlin, Tucker Crowell, Stephan Witherow; and four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Leslie D.Gatlin, brother Brandon Edmondson, and granddaughter Tabitha Doggett.
