Biography
George "Ed" Edward Dodson, age 81 of Lewisburg passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at his residence. A native of Columbia, Mr. Dodson was self-employed and retired from his upholstery business. He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodson Dodson and Wavie Lou Crandford Williams, his long time partner in life, Maggie Rainey, and a brother, Boyd Dodson.
Mr. Dodson is survived by two sons, Rick Dodson and Scott Dodson, and a daughter, Patty Richmond, all of Lewisburg. Two brothers, Charles Dodson of Ft. Myers, Florida and Jimmy Dodson of Hohenwald, seven grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren also survive him.
Funeral services for Mr. Dodson will be Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 6 PM from the chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will also be Wednesday from 3 PM until 6 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
