Faye Woodward Cochran
July 5, 1938 — April 6, 2024
Faye Woodward Cochran, a beloved lifelong resident of Palmetto, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, at the age of 85. Faye was born on July 5, 1938, in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Among many other special relatives, She was preceded in death by her Mom and Dad, Edith (Hobby) Woodward and Ford Woodward, her special aunt Mary Ruth (Hobby) Woodward, and her loving husband of 60 years Jimmie (Coon) Cochran.
Faye was known for her love of gardening and any other excuse to get her hands dirty, her joy in her younger years of raising cattle, her unwavering dedication to her husband, and being the loving and dedicated care giver for her special needs son, Tim. She had an indomitable spirit, always full of spit and vinegar, and found great pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Faye was a proud member of the Farmington Church of Christ, where she found comfort and community. Even though it was sometimes difficult, she always wanted both of her boys in church when the doors were open. At an early age, she shared with them one of her favorite Bible passages, Matthew 5:3-12. She believed that the Beatitudes explained how to be happy. All of this made her a wonderful homemaker who poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and inviting home for her loved ones.
She is survived by her sons David (Roma) Cochran and Timothy D. Cochran; grandchildren, Luke (Jade) Cochran and Emery (Corban) Joseph ; great-grandchildren, Addie Tyne, Delta Belle and Rolie Reese Joseph; as well as numerous extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.
