Ethel Lee Short

Ethel Lee Short, age 92 of Cornersville, TN passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Lewisburg, TN at NHC Oakwood. Born in Giles County, Mrs. Short was the daughter of the late Ira Luna and Lenice Hickman Hamlett of the Blue Creek Community. She was a retired Surgical Nurse at the Giles County Hospital in Pulaski, TN and a member of the Roberson Fork and Cornersville Church of Christ.
Mrs. Short was preceded in death along with her parents by husbands, Dewey Smith, Dyer Short, a sister, Katherine Dial, and three brothers, William, Horace, and Wallace Hamlett. She is survived by one daughter, Evie Smith (Ralph) Lowrance, Lewisburg, TN, one brother, John David (Patsy) Hamlett, Goodwater, AL, two sisters, Annie Ruth Bohannan also of Goodwater, AL, Mary Lillian Beaver, Lynnville, TN, two grandchildren, Todd (Lynne) Lowrance and Lenior (Jon) Courtemanche both of Cornersville, TN and three great-grandchildren, Logan, Jacob, and Knox Courtemanche.
Visitation with the family will be Monday, April 24, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in the Giles County Memorial Gardens, Pulaski, TN.
