Emmett Martin

April 12, 1929 — November 25, 2012

Emmett Eugene Martin, age 83 of Holly Grove Road, Lewisburg passed away on Sunday, November 25th, 2012 at Marshall Medical Center. A native of Giles County, Mr. Martin was the son of the late William Martin and Beatrice Pillow Martin. In addition to his parents, five brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. A member of the Tennessee National Guard, he was employed at ICP (Heil-Quaker Corp) for forty-two years, a charter member of Parkview Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher for over thirty years.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years Bonnie Hughes Martin of Lewisburg, three daughters Vickie (Dan) Berger of Arlington, Ohio, Lisa (Cliff) McGill and Carla (Ricky) Pitts both of Lewisburg. Three grandsons Chris Martin, Michael Gray, Thaddeus Berger and one granddaughter Erika Berger and one brother Melvin (Ann) Martin of the Bunker Hill community of Giles County.

Funeral services for Mr. Martin will be Thursday, November 29th, 2012 at Parkview Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. George Hill and Rev. Luke Bowling officiating. Burial will take place in Lone Oak Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, November 28th, 2012 at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the Parkview Baptist Church Future Growth fund.
