Elizabeth Bowers

Mrs. Elizabeth Neely Libby Bowers, age 87, died Tuesday evening in Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN.
Mrs. Bowers was a native of Belfast, daughter of the late Ross Walton and Flora Craig Neely, a homemaker, and member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Ewen Bowers in 1978; a sister: Jane Scarbrough; and a brother: Harold Neely. She is survived by two sisters: Jean Neely Howe of St. Louis, Missouri, and Sarah Neely Fry of Maryville, TN; and beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home with burial in the Short Cemetery. The family will be at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home from 10:00 11:00 AM Friday for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mrs. Bowers.
