David Carl Orr, 62, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at his home in Manchester, Tennessee
A private family interment will take place at Bryant Cemetery at a later time.
David was a native of Marshall County, where he grew up on a farm in Mooresville. He was the son of James Wayne Orr, Sr. and Linda Hinds Orr, both of Mooresville. David graduated from Marshall County Senior High School in 1976, where he played all sports and excelled at football. He loved the outdoors where he hunted, fished, and enjoyed riding horses. David was a retired welder, truck driver and construction worker.
Survivors include his daughters, Kristin Orr Nelson (Glen) and Madelyn Orr Hobbs; granddaughter, Lettie Kate Nelson; brother, James Wayne Orr, Jr; and sisters, Marylynn Berlin, Martha Emily Orr Warf; mother of his daughters, Kathy Bliven Orr; and two nieces and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
