Biography
Charles E. Rogers, age 77 of Lewisburg passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at his residence. A native of Marshall County, Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Narve Rogers and the late Gertie Jones Rogers. He was owner of Rogers Logging for over fifty years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Wallace, Jamie, and Bill Rogers, and one grandson, Richard Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by four daughters, Cathey (Wendall) Fullerton, Charlene (Ron) Thurman, Janice Coyle, and Kim (Keith) Rogers, three sons, Ricky (Janet) Rogers, Danny (Christy) Rogers, and Michael Rogers, one brother, David Rogers and four sisters, Barbara Rogers, Shirley Pierce, Ruth Chilton, and June Gowen all of Lewisburg. Fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive him.
Funeral services for Mr. Rogers will be Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11 AM from the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Whorley Cemetery. Visitation with family will be Friday, July 19, 2013 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home.
