Charles McBeth Murphy, Jr., age 95 of Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his residence after a long illness.
Mr. Murphy was a native of Lexington, Mississippi and was the son of the late Charles Murphy, Sr. and Rosagwin Durden Murphy. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was an attorney, member of the Nazarene Church, and served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include two daughters, Roselyn (Jack) Stanley of Little Rock AR and Sarah (Tony) Natale of Shelbyville, TN; two sons, Charles M. (Judy) Murphy of Bluff City, TN and James C. (Janine) Murphy of Durham, NC; a loving friend, Betty Adams of Lewisburg; twelve grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Murphy will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation with the family will be Monday, May 25, 2015 from 2 PM until 6 PM at the funeral home.
