Charles W. Moore, Sr., age 71 of Lynnville, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 in Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Mr. Moore was the son of the late Otis Franklin Moore and Hattie Lou Anderson Moore. He served his country in the United States Army, was a Mason with the Free Mason Lodge #207, a member of the American Legion, and a member of Mooresville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Regina Cash Moore of Lynnville; two sons, Charles (Julie) W. Moore, Jr. of Maryville, MO and William J. Moore of Indianapolis, IN; two step-daughters, Renee Knight of Columbia and Kelly Ann (Tim) Davis of Thompson Station; one step-son, Matthew Rohen of Murfreesboro; one brother, James (Sharon) Moore of Cloverdale, IN; nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, five nieces and nephews, and special friends and church family at Mooresville United Methodist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be Friday, April 25, 2014, at 2 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia with Frank Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville with military honors. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 4 PM until 8 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and again on Friday two hours prior to the service.
