Carroll Wiggins,78, retired 43 year employee of Kroger Company and resident of Verona Caney Road, died Sunday, November 26, 2017, at his residence.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Christopher and Pastor Leland Carden officiating. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born July 18, 1939, in Marshall County, he was the son of the late James C. Wiggins and the late Louise Carroll Wiggins. Mr. Wiggins had a passion for raising goats but was especially fond of sports. He was a proud supporter of the Marshall County Tigers. He served in the Tennessee National Guard.
Carroll is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth Bigham Wiggins of Lewisburg; son, Ike (Vickie) Wiggins of Lewisburg; sister, Judy Poteete of Chapel Hill; grandson, Cade Wiggins; and several nieces and nephews . He is also survived by his special family; Tom Hunter, Gil Hunter Family, and the Dave Hunter Family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Wiggins.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Tears, Hayes Richardson, Brian Jett, Cliff Warren, Ethan Jett, and Morgan Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will include the past and present employees of Kroger Company, and the Berlin Charge Choir.
