Carl Allen Liggett Jr

Carl Allen "Oopie" Liggett Jr. of Lewisburg passed away October 20, 2023, at NHC Oakwood. He was born October 30, 1943, to the late Carl Sr. and Sarah Louise White Liggett.

Mr. Liggett was a lifelong self-employed carpenter and painter that could make most anything imaginable with his hands. He loved all sports from Nascar to football and more, also he was a lifetime member of the Lewisburg Elks Lodge from March 8, 1980, until his passing, constituting over a 40-year membership.

He was also preceded in death by 3 sisters: Mary Elizabeth Defoe, Margaret Jean Cushion and Clara Mae Davis. He is survived by his lifelong companion Wanda Potts of Lewisburg; two brothers: James Eddie Liggett (Lori) and Billy Wayne Liggett (Connie Harris); two sisters, Joann Bills (Joe) and Betty Ruth Hobby; a niece Denise Primm and several other nieces and nephews.
