Betty James

Miss Betty Joyce James, age 65, of Lewisburg passed away on Monday, March 30, 2009 at her residence.

A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Clarice Wolfe and Johnnie James. She was a former employee of the Marshall County Impact Center and was an avid lover of cats, and loved to have fun drawing, dining out, and traveling. She was also a member of Saint John's Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Johnnie James and three aunts, Betty Nix, Clennie Harris, Clarence Pierce.

Miss James is survived by a special friend and caregiver, Ms. Collette Berube of Lewisburg, TN.

Funeral Mass for Miss James will be conducted on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 10:00 AM from Saint John's Catholic Church with Father Bill Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in the Mars Hill Cemetery in the Lynnville community. Visitation for Miss James will begin on Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
