Mr. Arthur Hugh Curtis, age 72 of Cornersville, died Tuesday afternoon in NHC-Lewisburg.
A native of Veto, AL, Mr. Curtis was the son of the late Charlie and Essay Lay Curtis, a former manager with Heil-Quaker Corporation, and retired from the Tennessee National Guard. He was a member of the Baptist church and the American Legion.
Mr. Curtis is survived by a daughter: Carrie Curtis Wentzel of Cornersville; two sons: Michael Hugh Curtis of Quincy, IL and Todd Curtis of Chapel Hill; and 1 sister: Emily Gibson of Nashville. He was preceded in death by his brother: Ed Curtis in December, 2003.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, offiated by Bro. Larry Hastings. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Don Bryant, Billy McDaniel, Jimmy Sanders, Jimmy Hunter, Percy McNeese, and Grant Smith.
The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, and again on Friday until the funeral hour.
Bills McGaugh Funeral Home and the United States Forest Service have provided for the planting of a tree in memory of Mr. Curtis.
