Mrs. Annette Berube, age 96 of Lewisburg, died Saturday at Marshall Medical Center.
She was born in Cambridge, MA, the second of eight daughters of Godfrey and Anne LaFlemme Gingras. She was the widow of Eugene Anthony Berube, who preceded her in 1974. Mrs. Berube relocated with her daughter to Tennessee following her retirement as a Secretary with the Defense Supply Agency in Boston. She was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, worshipping at St. John Church in Lewisburg.
Mrs. Berube is survived by two daughters: Colette Berube of Lewisburg, TN and Denise Cody of Dublin, Ireland; a son: Paul Berube of Carbondale, IL and a sister: Margarite Anderson of Canton, MA. 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and her caregiver of several years: Josie Rinehart also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM on Thursday at Bills McGaugh Funeral Home in Lewisburg, TN. The Rosary will be prayed beginning at 7:30 PM, led by Fthr. Tom Perrin. A funeral mass will be conducted by Fthr. Tom on Friday beginning at 11:00 at St. John Church, 1061 S. Ellington Pkwy, Lewisburg, TN 37091.
Following the funeral mass, Mrs. Berubes remains will be conveyed to the Andrew J. Magni & Sons Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St., Newton, MA for final rites and interment in the Newton Cemetery.
