Mrs. Agnes Turner Long, age 87, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 at NHC Oakwood.

A native of Marshall County, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Florence Stallings Turner. She was a housewife, a mother, and worked several years at the Marshall County Trustees Office, a member of the Eastern Star, and was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg .

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Mr. Charles Long 1998 a son, Max Long, five brothers, Ross Turner, Max Turner, Roy Turner and Lee Turner, one sister, Juliene Turner Rucker.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann Long of Lewisburg, TN, a granddaughter Michelle Allen Leroy Mullis of Lewisburg, TN a family friend, Martha Carol Cross of Lewisburg , TN, a cousin, Mrs. Wylene Nix of Nashville, TN, three grandchildren Jennifer Mullis, Coty Mullis and Cheyanne Mullis all of Lewisburg. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Long will be conducted on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bills McGaugh Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Short Cemetery in the Springplace Community, with Reverend Wayne Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour.
