Adelaide Bigham

Adelaide Sanders Bigham, age 92 of Lewisburg, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2014 at her residence. A native of the Delina Community, Mrs. Bigham was the daughter of the late Alex Sanders and Grace Taylor Sanders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Col. Hughey W. Bigham, who passed away in 2001, and one sister, Evelyn Clark. She retired from Peoples and Union Bank, was a member of the American Legion, and a member of First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.

She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca (Steve) Hill of Lewisburg; two grandchildren, Meredith (Joe Davis) of Kingston Springs and Eric (Melissa) Hill of Decatur, GA; and three great-grandchildren, Finli, Mabry, and Baby Hill (to arrive February, 2015).

Funeral services for Mrs. Bigham will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 2 PM at First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg with Rev. Leland Carden officiating. A private burial will follow in Medium Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 3 PM until 5 PM at Bills-McGaugh Funeral Home and again on Sunday at the church beginning at 1:30 PM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Oak Grove Elementary School Library, Children's Youth Program at First United Methodist Church in Lewisburg, or to Village Manor with proceeds going to purchase a computer.
